'Tis the season to GIVE.

The Meridian family believes in supporting their communities throughout the entire year, but we always try and do a little more at the holidays. This year we are proud to once again provide gifts for our adopted Salvation Army family, hoping to help make their season a little brighter. Additionally, we will be throwing our annual luncheon at the Charlie Joseph Senior Center to provide gifts, companionship, and a festive meal for some of Jacksonville's seniors in need. We encourage you all to reach out to your communities as well, in December and beyond.

Fighting the battle against heart disease.

Helping with the battle to educate our community on heart disease, Meridian is a very proud sponsor of this year's 'Women's Heart Connection'. This Baptist Health event is being held on Saturday, April 16th at the Jacksonville Public Library from 9 AM- 4 PM. We encourage you to come out and participate in the free heart disease screenings, cooking & fitness demonstrations, bone density risk assessments, and many other heart-healthy activities. Meridian will be on-site volunteering their time and support as well, so come out and see us!  

Extraordinary athletes, Special Olympics.

As in years past, we are thrilled to be able to once again support the 2010 Special Olympics! By sponsoring two of the event's athletes Meridian is allowing them the opportunity to take part in this amazing event. We wish all of this year's participants the best of luck and urge the rest of the community to support the Special Olympics as well!

Making a difference in a child's life.

Meridian is very proud to be one of Wolfson Children’s Hospital’s Candle Sponsors for their upcoming “One to Grow On” Ultra Marathon. For this event Meridian will be sponsoring one of the 55 Candles that will be on display celebrating Wolfson’s 55 years of helping sick and injured children. Please join us in supporting this wonderful cause and event because every child does deserve another birthday.

Gifts to those in need.

The 2009 Holiday Season brought Meridian in partnership with The Salvation Army for their ‘Adopt-A-Family’ program, providing area families with gifts and essentials for the holidays and days to follow. The company was able to make a difference in two Jacksonville families’ lives, and thanks the Salvation Army for all they do for our community.

Feeding our community with Second Harvest.

This holiday Meridian associates also opened their hearts by generously contributing to the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Florida. Through the company’s combined efforts, Second Harvest will be able to supply 9,570 meals to families in need both during the holidays and well into the year. This is a wonderful cause and we look forward to supporting the organization in the future!

Supporting Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies.

In true Meridian fashion, an outstanding group of employees came out on Saturday, June 6, for Trot for Tots! They participated in a 1.3 mile walk through downtown Jacksonville to support the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of North Florida. The event helped raise funds for Jacksonville’s babies. Thank you to our Meridian associates and their friends and families for supporting this great cause!
